On a nationwide scale, significantly more U.S. homeowners are moving forward with renovation projects compared to this time last year, according to the second annual Houzz & Home survey that garnered more than 100,000 responses.

If the market continues on this path, sales numbers could be even stronger than they were in 2012 as long as inventory holds up , which was a very strong year for the real estate market in Sandbridge Beach.

According to the 2012 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers (Google Internal Data Q3 2012), real estate brokers related searches on tablets alone grew 300% year-over-year. That information combined with predictions from industry experts that by 2014 mobile internet will be more prevalent than desktop internet usage convinced us that it was a good idea to get ahead of the curve and create a special site dedicated to mobile property searches now to better serve our clients.

Real estate markets across the country are seeing a similar trend: buyers are taking advantage of low mortgage rates by purchasing vacation properties. Specifically, they are buying homes in exotic locations, like at the beach or lake, or in the mountains for prime skiing.

Real estate website Trulia has released a study indicating the best seasons for home buying in every U.S. state. Virginia is noted to peak in March, which is true to the local Sandbridge Beach housing market.
