Sandbridge Beach Gets Positive News on Sand Replenishment

Sandbridge Beach (City of Virginia Beach) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have reached an agreement which will allow for them to manage our next sand replenishment without any direct federal funding.

On May 25th the Memorandum of Agreement was signed by both parties which paves the way for a late 2012 or 2013 project.

This could not have been accomplished without  the collaboration of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, our Virginia Congressional Delegation, and the City of Virginia Beach legislative and water resources staff.  Congratulations to all those involved!
