It’s been a rollercoaster ride of weather lately in Sandbridge. Two weeks ago we were in the 100’s and burning up, then last weekend we needed rain jackets and sweatshirts. The same can be said for the real estate market. It was very quite during the month of July but seems to be improving with more inquires from buyers as we move into August.

I hope everyone had a great Independence Day holiday! It was perfect in Sandbridge Beach. The fireworks and barbeques were in full force. The annual boat parade was another huge success with about 50 boats of all sizes and shapes participating.

        Hurricane Earl came off shore of Sandbridge Beach with little to no damage. I just drove the lenght of the beach and for the exception of road side flooding from rain and minor beach erosion, I think we faired very well.

                        Sandbridge Beach is currently under a Hurricane watch. We should begin to feel effects of storm by late this evening. Hurricane Earl ~ Path update

                     Looks like path will take it off of North Carolina/ Virginia  coast on Friday. That may change if storm picks up speed, this needs to be watched carefully, if Earl moves west of projected path, Sandbridge Beach could encounter hurricane strength winds and will certainly feel the impact with high surf.
